A revolution is happening in mental health care. Administrators and clinicians are increasingly being challenged to provide data on outcomes and effectiveness. Santa Cruz Center was established to help meet this challenge in a simple, proven, economical way.
Outcome accountability processes are independent of psychotherapy theories or models. They are not a theory or model about how to do therapy. Applicable to all theories and models, they are simple client feedback systems based on over 40 years of psychotherapy research about what actually makes the difference in treatment effectiveness. Outcome accountability systems are easily implemented within existing clinical settings. They do not require wholesale changes in provider's theories, but rather add brief and valid effectiveness measurement processes that have been proven to increase positive clinical outcomes, reduce client drop-outs and clinician burnout, while lowering costs.
